Adobe Experience League
Simplified Complex Learning Platform and Documentation to Increase Usability
2020

Background
I started working on this project while still at RAIN. With RAIN's blessing, my coworkers Terra Reilly and Steve Cox left and took Adobe with them. I then started working for The Sparkery, and completed the UX work. I created low to mid fidelity wireframes in XD, which were then handed off to their graphic designers and developers.
The Problem
The Adobe Experience League website is complicated and can be quite cumbersome to a new user. For the first phase of the project, we were tasked to simplify and ideate on how to improve the user friendliness and functionality across the site.

Learning Module Design
We landed on a carousel and tab design, to clearly show users which product their on, and where they are at in that learning path.

Research, Analysis, Testing
We worked directly with EXL Product Manager Jacob Hammons who gave us his own insights into what the pain points were for users. We worked in an agile framework, where we would present that phase's wireframes to Jacob, he would throw them into development, then give us user feedback within a week.

Design
Search & Documentation
I simplified the logos and document pages and reorganized the information architecture and search variables. We also gave them direction on how to make the search responsive for mobile.

Learning Platform
We restructured the dropdown to create a more easily understandable information architecture. We then redesigned the Learning page to clearly showcase where the user is at in their journey with whichever products they are focusing on. We utilized a timeline and tab system so they could quickly view their progress and navigate to continue where they left off.
Support Page
The support page had been a bit forgotton and users found it very confusing. We simplified the layout and added a quick documation search for FAQ's, before letting users submit a support ticket.
